How are you?
Over the past two months I have gone on two camping trips. One trip with my wife for
almost two weeks to our property in Arizona, and later to Oak Creek Canyon/Sedona.
The other was a three day up to Cerro Gordo and Lee Flat in the Inyo Mountains. We
covered both tight, narrow, very rocky trails and fast open flats and washes. The truck
performed fabulously. The bed cage design works very well and does not interfere with
the payload capacity. My wife on the first trip, and another buddy, on the second trip,
that always rides shotgun with me both made unsolicited comments about the
improvement in the on-highway ride, not to mention the rough stuff. Off road, I was
concerned about the increased track width on very narrow mining roads, as well as
avoiding large hazards at speed, since one has less road space to swerve around these
hazards with the increased track. It was not a problem at all. Notwithstanding, the faster
you go – the smoother the ride. Due to the suspension travel, the steering takes a bit to
get used to, but I am slowly becoming accustomed to it. I had the alignment camber
changed to more negative over the factory settings to improve the on-center feel on
paved roads. The truck stops better also, despite the fact that one uses the brakes less
with the suspension improvements. Frankly, this truck is capable of higher speeds than is
prudent without a full cage – it is easy to get in trouble due to confidence it inspires.
I can’t tell you how happy I am with the final product. It was worth the time and effort to
it get right. You are almost exclusively responsible for the success of this build by
providing the council on set-up and executing on the fabrication/build. Thank you so
